Gadchiroli is a remote place. It is tribal and backward area, for away from the metropolitan city Nagpur, It is a hilly and forest covered area of Maharashtra State. Total Gadchiroli district is backward and tribal area. The major population of the district is Scheduled Tribes community, Scheduled Cast and other Backward Classes and very few other and minorities.
Gadchiroli district as historical recognizance, as a holly place of Markanda Deo near Chamorshi, 34 km North from Gadchiroli.
Gadchiroli district is declared as one of the backward district by Planning Commission of India. UGC, New Delhi also marked it as educationally backward district. By viewing the need of such pupils, our educational society members who were dedicated certain noble cause, because they new that only education is the thing of social change.
The college had started with 69 student and …….. teacher in a small wooden shade. In the emerging period of the college, it has managed its academic and administrative expenses by the donations of the founding members, without financial aids of Government of Maharashtra. (Non Grant Policy of Govt.)
Keeping aside Financial problems the college has made substantial development. Now college has its own separate college Building and Administrative Building, Library Building and big open ground with sufficient facilities.
Keeping in mind the importance of Commerce and Science, Commerce and Science faculty are started and needy and tribal students are benefitting with said facilities. At present full fledged departments and full qualified teacher faculty and non-teaching staff are devoting them self in their service.
After establishment of the college entire educational atmosphere has positively changed. Since last 40 years. Catered the educational needs of the needy and tribal students, and wish is to cater this forever.
